How To Protect Yourself and Others From COVID-19

We all are in this together- it’s not just a term for anymore, we mean it every person on this planet means it. This global pandemic has shaken every soul. People have lost their loved ones. This pandemic has left everyone in terror and now more with the second wave of Covid-19. Our intention is not to spread the horror even further, we just want people to realize the prevailing condition and take some steps to keep themselves and their families safe.

Here are few ways to keep yourself from getting infected:

Wear a mask

This is simple. You just have to WEAR A MASK. It reduces the risk of transmission severely. Masks are saving lives. If you cannot get a hold of an N95 mask or a surgical mask, you can even DIY a cloth mask, because something is better than nothing. Your mask should cover your mouth and your nose both unlike many people whose masks are either on their chin or below their nose.
If the mask doesn’t fit nicely and you constantly have to adjust it, then you probably need another mask or a new brand. Also, make sure you breathe easily.

Wash and sanitize your hands regularly

Wash your hands for 30 seconds (at least) with soap and water frequently or use an alcohol-based sanitizer especially when you are in public, after sneezing or coughing, or blowing your nose. This process is important before eating, before touching your face, after handling your mask, after leaving a public place, and after caring for someone sick. Avoid touching anything or anyone or even your face without sanitizing or washing your hands.

Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces

Avoid social gatherings such as weddings, baby showers, and birthday parties. Resist yourself from going to the gym, movies, bars, and even parks as it puts you at higher risk for Covid-19.
Avoid going to places that are not ventilated enough, that is, the places which do not have a source for fresh air and sunlight. Even lack of sunlight and fresh air increases the risk of Covid.

Maintain Social Distancing

Keep six feet distancing from people when you are outdoors. Maintain social distancing from people who are sick, this reduces your risk of getting infected.

Get vaccinated

If you fall in the category which is eligible for covid, then make sure you get vaccinated. Authorized Covid-19 vaccines can help protect you from covid-19. Once you are fully vaccinated, you may be able to start doing things that you are stopping yourself from doing now.
