We've already discussed the best fabrics to wear in the summer, but what about when fall or winter arrives and the temperature drops? Winter is our favorite season because it provides us all an opportunity to bundle up in the coziest materials. With these winter textiles, the possibilities for apparel creation are endless, from warm scarves to snug sweaters. Here are the best winter clothing materials to layer with this fall and winter. 

1.Silk
                            
Silk is a breathable fabric, and is preferred in the winter season because of the impact it can make. Silk has been revered as a symbol of wealth since it was first seen adorning Chinese Emperors thousands of years ago. Even today, silk is considered to be a treasured item of luxury–so… maybe it’s fancy, but is it good for wearing in all weather conditions? What if it’s super cold outside? Silk performs well as a base layer. Silk is considered breathable with acceptable insulation properties as well as positive moisture absorption properties similar to wool.

2.Fur Fabric
           
Fur fabrics are renowned all over the world, and are prominent among winter fabrics. They are stylish, comfortable, and keep you warm. Fur fabric is commonly used to make winter clothing. In different types of fashionable jackets, mufflers are made with fur. Also used in making shawls, and winter blankets with fur fabric.

3.Velvet

Velvet is a soft, luxurious fabric that is characterized by a dense pile of evenly cut fibers that have a smooth nap. It has a shiny appearance with a perfect ‘winter fabric tag.’

4.Banarasi

Banarasi fabric has been in our culture for a long time. The sarees made from this fabric are perfect for the wedding season and winter outings. This fabric is one of the traditional ones and holds a prominent place during the Indian wedding season that mostly comes in the winter season.

5.Corduroy
                      
The corduroy fabric is thick and hot. It retains the heat and is a bit heavy. But once, you get comfortable in it, it can match up with your style while keeping you hot in the winter season. Corduroy is a fantastic choice for winter because it comes in a range of colors and is softer than other warm fabrics. Corduroy is also highly popular because it can be turned into coats, pants, and even overalls for the colder months!
